Sports
The sporty traveler can also expend some energy here, as the sports on offer are quite extensive.
Golf:
Who says Portugal, also says "golf".
The following golf courses can be found in our region:
Golf do Montado, Palmela
Arrábida Resort & Golf Academy, Quinta do Anjo
Clube de Campo da Aroeira, Charneca da Caparica
Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club, Quinta do Conde

Mountain biking:
Recently, cycling (mountain biking) has been gaining popularity here in Portugal. More trails are being unlocked.
Track cycling is also a challenge on the slopes of the serra.
Hiking:
The nature hiker will certainly get their money's worth here with the various trails that traverse the Serra da Arrábida, from Setúbal to Cabo Espichel.
Rock climbing:
There are already several courses set out in the region, with varying degrees of difficulty.
Surfing:
On the south side of the Serra da Arrábida, the ocean is calmer for surfing. But if you want the real waves, go to the western side (Meco, Costa da Caparica, Cascais).
Diving:
The clarity of the ocean water makes diving in this area attractive. Several companies offer diving initiations and rent diving equipment.
Geocaching:
This activity may not seem like a sport to some, but since you are doing a lot of walking in nature, we list it as a sport activity. There are also many opportunities for geocaching in our region.
SUP & canoe:
As the ocean in the bay between Setúbal and Sesimbra is quite calm, you can easily do both water sports. SUP and canoe equipment can be hired at various places.
Horse riding:
Some quintas organize trips with horses or carriages.
Karting:
For those who like a bit more mechanical action, you can go to one of the karting centers in the region.
